■作品概要

OHL 2nd EP 「NOTE」は、ジャンルの異なる3曲を通して、グループの“今”をリアルに映し出す意欲作。 

すべての楽曲においてバンドサウンドを基調とし、生演奏による質感とライブ感にこだわったアレンジで構成されている。

「NOTE」は、“1冊のノート”をモチーフに、強がりながらも前を向こうとする人へ向けた応援ソング。

2000年代J-POPを思わせる懐かしさと、スクールロック的な青春感をロックサウンドに乗せて届ける。

「うるせぇな」は、グランジテイストのPOP & PUNKにのせて、“人に指図されずに自分らしく生きる”ことを叫ぶ反骨の一曲。

レコーディングでは正確さよりもリアルさを重視し、遊び心と衝動をそのまま刻み込んでいる。 

「BORMB」では、ラップチームのSHURUとKANNAが選抜され、それぞれの視点で抱える葛藤や夢への想いをラップに込めた。

ライブでのパフォーマンスを経て再構築された本バージョンでは、攻撃性と洗練が共存する構成にアップデートされている。

本作のプロデュースも、メンバーのGENが担当。

ボーカルディレクションからREC、ミキシングに至るまで一貫して監修し、OHLのセルフプロデュース体制のもと完成させた。

ダンスボーカルという枠にとらわれない、表現力と制作力を改めて提示する1枚となっている。

OHL's 2nd EP "NOTE" is an ambitious release that vividly captures the group's current identity through three genre-diverse tracks. 

Each song is built upon a foundation of band-driven arrangements, with a strong focus on the texture and rawness of live instrumentation-delivering a sound that feels both dynamic and organic. 

The title track "NOTE" is an uplifting song inspired by the motif of a single notebook. It speaks to those who try to stay strong while moving forward, combining the nostalgic feel of early 2000s J-POP with a school-rock vibe and emotional energy delivered through a rock sound.

"URUSAYNOT" is a rebellious anthem set to a grunge-tinged pop-punk track, shouting the message of living true to yourself without taking orders. Rather than pursuing perfection, the recording process prioritized authenticity-capturing the raw emotion, spontaneity, and playful spirit of the performance.

"BORMB" features selected members SHURU and KANNA from the group's rap team, who each wrote and composed their own parts. Refined and rearranged based on their live performance experiences, this updated version blends aggression with precision for a sharpened and impactful delivery. 

The EP was fully produced by GEN, a member of OHL. From vocal direction and recording to mixing, he oversaw the entire production process-reinforcing the group's DIY spirit and self-produced style. 

This release reaffirms OHL's expressive and creative capabilities, pushing beyond the boundaries typically associated with dance-vocal groups.
